Our research group has been addressing metacognitive processes in psychosis therapeutically since 2003. The goal of this work is twofold. First, through humorous examples and exercises, individuals with psychosis   gain insight into unhelpful cognitive distortions (e.g., jumping to conclusions, overconfidence in decisions). Second, they improve their metacognitive processes (“thinking about thinking”).
